“Hello, Ismira, or should I Say KALIMERA! )))) I just completed my first season in Cyprus! I am glad that I had such an opportunity – to work in Cyprus, to be one of the customer service staff members of Olympic Lagoon Resort, Kanika Hotel’yje, Ayia Nap’os city. I stayed here the whole season – I started to work on March 24 – October. Work was not really difficult: serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, dirty dish collection, table cleaning tools and glass polishing, job management, also we had to remember to smile always, be enthusiastic, it is important to communicate with customers (the success of the tips ))))) I had to walk a lot, so I suggest for those who are interested in such work to invest in good shoes.
The atmosphere at work is good: no stress, everyone calm, joking, smiling, very interactive and supportive to each other. Working hours was usually from 9 in the morning until 14-30h and in the evening from 19 h to 22 h, during the break you can go to the sea or to do other things pleasant for yourself. What else? I liked my apartments (two bedrooms, bathroom and balcony, the other apartment on the first floor had a veranda, close to the center and the sea) I lived with one cool roommate)))
“First wanted to say thank you to you all for this opportunity to work in John’s island club. 7 weeks ago, I arrived to Florida, Orlando and started my journey in United States and in John’s Island Club. Of course my hopes were high but didn’t except much, less disappointment later. But I didn’t know.. I didn’t know how perfect is John’s Island’s management, how cool will be my coworkers, how much fun I will have on duty. I didn’t know I will find a new family, new best friend and so many new people in my life. We are working approximately 35 hours in a week, we have fine dining, beach bar, beach club and ocean view every day. Most of the “islanders” are living together in one residential complex, I live in one apartment with Ukrainian girl, Croatian girl, couple from Serbia and another Estonian, to and from work we have shuttle service, completely free. All the meals are provided and tastes delicious! Our first week was full of trainings, a lot of information and new faces. Second and third week we were working under someone, every day new teachers who were returners from previous seasons. Every single one of them taught me something new and interesting. Today we have been 3 weeks on our own and I wouldn’t be happier”.
